Byron Deloatch: Songs und Soul Food zu Thanksgiving

 

Am 28.11. ist Thanksgiving im Emma Metzler. Diesen sehr familiären und sehr amerikanischen Erntedanktag möchte unser Gastkoch Byron Deloatch mit dem Publikum in seiner Frankfurter Wahlheimat feiern .

 

 

Er wird daher gemeinsam mit dem Emma-Metzler-Team ein echtes Festmahl zubereiten.

Auf den Tisch kommt Byrons spezielles Home Sweet Home Menu mit Truthahn, Ochsenschwanz und Pumpkin Cheese Cake, inspiriert von seiner Heimat North Carolina im Südosten der USA. Aber Byron ist nicht nur sehr guter Koch, sondern auch ein herausragender Musiker und Sänger, und deshalb wird er gemeinsam mit dem Gitarristen Fabian Toulousse verschiedene „Songs of Gratitude“ präsentieren.

CONCEPT/THEME: “Home Sweet Home” – Celebrating an American tradition while paying homage to North Carolinian/southern roots and transferring the energy to adopted home of Frankfurt alongside chosen family here abroad

 

ENTERTAINMENT/MUSIC COMPONENT: For the evening’s entertainment, heartfelt songs have been selected to illustrate what one is ‘thankful’ for: i.) Family – Mother, Father, Sibling(s) (i.e. Brother(s) and/or Sister(s)), Child/Children, etc.; ii.) Partner; iii.) Friends/Friendship; iv.) Life; v.) Shelter; vi.) Clothing; vii.) Food; viii.) Music

 

MENU INSPIRATION: The menu reflects classic/traditional, delectable dishes alongside those that pay homage to southern heritage, ultimately culled from family-and-friend favorites (i.e. ‘The Last Supper’ of Thanksgiving(s)) yet incorporating unique twists to challenge our creativity as culinary artists in addition to the palettes of epicures and novices alike
