“PLOPP” – The Wine Fair Celebrating Young Winemakers in Frankfurt
On April 19, 2026, the Frankfurt wine fair “PLOPP” will celebrate its fifth edition, ringing in spring with a joyful plopp. This year, the fair will again take place in the former production halls of Naxos Union, now a vibrant cultural venue for theater, dance, and concerts.
“PLOPP” has established itself as a platform for organically and naturally produced wines. For its fifth edition, the fair will bring together over 20 winemakers known for their craftsmanship, character, and strong vision – from established names to exciting newcomers.
Among the participants are Tessa Sprenger and Jonas Dostert, who are making significant contributions to the German natural wine scene, as well as Stefan Vetter and Julien Renard, each leaving a distinctive mark in Franconia and along the Mosel. They represent a diverse, high-quality selection of more than 20 wineries from Germany and abroad.
The fair is organized by Christian Lebherz (Cool Climate), Anton de Bruyn (Emma Metzler), and Dennis Aukili (Chairs & mehlwassersalz at MMK), who continue to lead the event and have introduced some exciting new features this year.
For the first time, “PLOPP” will take place in two tasting sessions:
In between – and beyond these sessions – there will be an open area where visitors can continue tasting, chatting, and relaxing with sparkling wine, small bites, and cold beer.
Spring will also be celebrated culinarily, with freshly grilled yakitori skewers, oysters, and special delicacies from mehlwassersalz. A grill will create a lively, sociable atmosphere.
In a relaxed setting, visitors can taste current vintages, engage with the winemakers, and gain insight into their work in the vineyard and cellar. “PLOPP” stands for exchange, quality, and the joy of discovering new perspectives on wine.
The fair is aimed at sommeliers, industry professionals, wine enthusiasts, and anyone curious to be inspired.
We look forward to the fifth edition of “PLOPP” – and to a delightful spring day in Frankfurt!
